We Don't Say "Non-Toxic." We Prove It.
"Non-toxic" isn't a certification. Anyone can print it on a box. We wanted something better — independent lab results you can actually verify. Here's every certification behind a Poco Koko mat and what each one means for your baby.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
What it means: Our fabric cover is tested for over 100 harmful substances by independent European labs — going beyond legal requirements.
Why it matters: Your baby's skin touches this surface for hours every day. We made sure every fiber is safe.
CertiPUR-US®
What it means: Our memory foam is tested by independent labs for harmful chemicals and emissions. No formaldehyde, no heavy metals, no phthalates, no ozone depleters. Made without PBDE flame retardants.
Why it matters: This is the same certification used by leading crib mattress brands. If it's safe enough for where your baby sleeps, it's safe enough for where they play.
CPSIA Compliant
What it means: Tested to meet the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act standards for children's products — including strict limits on lead and phthalate content.
Why it matters: This isn't optional for children's products sold in the U.S. But many imported play mats skip proper testing. We don't.
ASTM F963-23 Compliant
What it means: Meets the latest U.S. toy safety standard, covering mechanical hazards, flammability, and chemical safety.
Why it matters: Our one-piece design eliminates the small parts that make puzzle mats a choking risk. One mat. One piece. Zero worry.
California Prop 65 Compliant
What it means: Tested below California's Safe Harbor levels for chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive harm — the strictest chemical safety standard in the United States.
Why it matters: If it meets California's standards, it exceeds everywhere else's.
