The color your living room already wants.
The PocoKoko Play Mat is built as a single continuous piece: a thick, cushy core wrapped in a velvet-soft plush surface and finished with wide, flat, hand-finished edges — like a rug, because that's what it's meant to look like. No interlocking tiles. No foam panels. No seams for little fingers to find.
5×7 ft (~22 sq ft) — Defined play zones, nurseries, apartment living rooms.
At 5×7, the Oatmeal mat anchors a clear play zone without consuming a whole room. On light wood floors — the natural pairing for this color — it reads like a warm area rug. Ideal for a sofa-facing play corner, a nursery floor, or a rental apartment where you want the space to look considered.
6×9 ft — Open-plan spaces, large living rooms, design-forward homes.
The 6×9 in Oatmeal becomes the room's foundation. In an open-plan kitchen-living space, it defines the "living" zone; in a larger playroom, it fills the room without feeling like an afterthought. This is the size that photographs well — the mat large enough that no single color dominates, it simply belongs.
Sizing tip: For a room with light-toned furniture and natural-material accents, the larger Oatmeal mat often creates a more cohesive look than a smaller island of color.
Day to day, care for it the way you'd care for a good rug — run the vacuum over it, and wipe spills with a damp cloth as they happen. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution on a cloth: work in small sections, blot dry, and let it air-dry flat.
Good to know: because it's built as one continuous piece, it isn't made for the washing machine — no soaking, no tumble dry, no steam. It doesn't need any of that: the plush surface releases most spills cleanly when you catch them early.
How do I clean the Oatmeal color?
Wipe spills with a damp cloth as they happen — the light color releases most spills cleanly when you get to them fast. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution on a cloth, work in small sections, blot dry, and air-dry flat. Like any one-piece plush rug, it isn't made for the washing machine — quick wipes and a regular vacuum are all it asks.
Will it show stains?
Oatmeal is a lighter color, so prompt cleaning matters. Most food and drink spills wipe away cleanly from the plush surface if caught quickly. We recommend having a damp cloth nearby during mealtimes or snack time near the mat.
Will it smell when it arrives?
Some off-gassing is normal for any new foam product. Unroll the mat in a ventilated room for a few hours before use. The scent dissipates quickly.
Does it stay in place on hardwood floors?
Yes. The non-slip backing grips hardwood, tile, and laminate effectively. On very high-gloss or polished stone surfaces, results may vary.

Why one piece instead of foam tiles?
Interlocking EVA tiles are convenient but have a fundamental safety issue: the seams. Babies and toddlers can pry apart the individual tiles, exposing edges and creating gaps — and small foam pieces can become choke hazards. Our mat is one continuous piece — no seams, no tiles, nothing to pull apart. It's also easier to lay flat: no puzzle-assembly, no tiles that drift apart under a wriggling toddler. One piece down, done.
Pre-Order. Your order is placed today and ships on or around September 1, 2026 — you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking the moment it leaves our warehouse.

“We tested over a dozen competitor play mats. Most were either too thin to protect or too loud to live with. So we built the one we couldn’t find.”
— Founder, PocoKoko
Three layers, one seamless piece: a short-pile velvet top cover tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, a 1.3-inch slow-rebound memory foam core, and a textured non-slip polyurethane base that grips hard floors without rug pads.
No. Every Poco Koko mat comes with 30-day no-questions-asked returns and a free prepaid return label. If you don't love it, we'll take it back — full terms in our Returns Policy.
Wipe with a damp cloth — that's it. The sealed top cover is waterproof, and a drop of dish soap in warm water handles almost any spill. Never machine wash, fold, or steam-clean. Full instructions in our Cleaning & Care Guide.
All memory foam has a faint "new foam" smell during its off-gassing period — noticeable during the first day or two. Run a fan or open a window for 24 hours; for most customers it's gone within 3–5 days. If it persists past two weeks, email us and we'll replace the mat.
Your mat ships rolled in a compact box. Unroll it flat and it will settle within 24–48 hours — a warm room speeds it up, and any slight curl at the edges disappears on its own.
