Dusty rose. Not a nursery pink — a design choice.

  • One seamless piece, nothing to pry apart. No interlocking tiles, no foam seams — one continuous piece with no gaps, no puzzle pieces, no loose edges.
  • Thick, cushy, cozy. Cushions falls and feels good underfoot for long play sessions — sits low and flush to the floor, never bulky in the room.
  • Dusty mauve, not candy pink. This is the blush of aged terracotta and linen — muted, sophisticated, a color that could exist in any well-edited room.
  • Non-slip backing on hardwood, tile, and laminate. Stays in place through crawling, cruising, and full-sprint toddler energy.
  • Handmade wide flat binding finishes every edge with the clean look of a real rug.
  • Wipes clean with a damp cloth. Vacuums like a rug. Made with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified fabric.

Our one-piece construction — because no seam is the safest seam.

The PocoKoko Play Mat is built as a single continuous piece: a thick, cushy core wrapped in a velvet-soft plush surface and finished with wide, flat, hand-finished edges — like a rug, because that's what it's meant to look like. No interlocking tiles. No foam panels. No seams for little fingers to find.

  • Surface: Velvet-soft and plush, with a soft matte sheen — gentle on bare knees, small palms, and grown-up feet. Made with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified fabric.
  • Cushioning: One continuous piece, thick and cushy all the way through. It gives a little when they land — and quiets the sound of play on hard floors. Sits low and flush to the floor, with no edge to trip on.
  • Backing: Non-slip base keeps the mat in place on hardwood, tile, and laminate floors.
  • Binding: Wide, flat, hand-finished edges — the detail that makes this look like a real rug, not a gym mat.

Size & Fit

5×7 ft (~22 sq ft) — Nurseries, defined living-room play zones, smaller spaces.
At 5×7, the Blush mat works especially well in a nursery or dedicated play corner where a considered color choice sets the whole room's tone. In a living room, the 5×7 reads as an accent — a deliberate color moment rather than a floor takeover. Pairs naturally with light oak, warm white walls, and natural-fiber furniture.

6×9 ft — Living rooms, open-plan spaces, the room-defining statement size.
The 6×9 in Blush is a commitment — in the best way. At this scale, the dusty mauve reads as a proper room anchor: warm without competing with your furniture, present without dominating. For parents who want the mat to work as an actual design element rather than something to tolerate, this is the size that makes the room feel curated.

Sizing tip: Blush reads differently at different scales. In a small room, the 5×7 keeps it as an accent; in a larger room, the 6×9 lets the color settle into the space properly. When in doubt, go with the size that fits the room's traffic flow — the color handles itself.

Easy to live with: a quick wipe, a regular vacuum.

Day to day, care for it the way you'd care for a good rug — run the vacuum over it, and wipe spills with a damp cloth as they happen. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution on a cloth: work in small sections, blot dry, and let it air-dry flat.

Good to know: because it's built as one continuous piece, it isn't made for the washing machine — no soaking, no tumble dry, no steam. It doesn't need any of that: the plush surface releases most spills cleanly when you catch them early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Blush actually pink? I've been burned by "blush" that reads too pink.
Fair concern. Our Blush is a dusty mauve — closer to aged rose clay or muted terracotta-pink than to candy pink or bubblegum. It's a muted, complex tone with enough gray in it to read sophisticated rather than babyish. We recommend viewing our product photos in natural daylight if possible; the color is truest in natural light.

How do I clean it?
Blot spills as they happen and wipe with a damp cloth — the plush surface releases most spills cleanly when treated quickly. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution on a cloth, work in small sections, blot dry, and air-dry flat. A one-piece mat like this isn't made for the washing machine — quick wipes and a regular vacuum genuinely do the job.

Will it smell when it arrives?
Some off-gassing is normal for any new foam product. Unroll the mat in a ventilated room for a few hours before use. The scent dissipates quickly.

Does it stay in place on hardwood floors?
Yes. The non-slip backing grips hardwood, tile, and laminate effectively. On very high-gloss or polished stone surfaces, results may vary.

When does my order ship?
This is a pre-order — see Shipping & Returns just below for the current shipping window and tracking details.

What's your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of the ship date for items in original, unused condition. Email hello@pocokoko.com to start the process.

Why one piece instead of foam tiles?
Interlocking EVA tiles are convenient but have a fundamental safety issue: the seams. Babies and toddlers can pry apart the individual tiles, exposing edges and creating gaps — and small foam pieces can become choke hazards. Our mat is one continuous piece — no seams, no tiles, nothing to pull apart. It's also easier to lay flat: no puzzle-assembly, no tiles that drift apart under a wriggling toddler. One piece down, done.

Frequently asked questions

What is the mat made of?

Three layers, one seamless piece: a short-pile velvet top cover tested to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, a 1.3-inch slow-rebound memory foam core, and a textured non-slip polyurethane base that grips hard floors without rug pads.

Are any purchases final sale?

No. Every Poco Koko mat comes with 30-day no-questions-asked returns and a free prepaid return label. If you don't love it, we'll take it back — full terms in our Returns Policy.

How do I clean it?

Wipe with a damp cloth — that's it. The sealed top cover is waterproof, and a drop of dish soap in warm water handles almost any spill. Never machine wash, fold, or steam-clean. Full instructions in our Cleaning & Care Guide.

Does it have a chemical smell?

All memory foam has a faint "new foam" smell during its off-gassing period — noticeable during the first day or two. Run a fan or open a window for 24 hours; for most customers it's gone within 3–5 days. If it persists past two weeks, email us and we'll replace the mat.

How long does it take to fully expand?

Your mat ships rolled in a compact box. Unroll it flat and it will settle within 24–48 hours — a warm room speeds it up, and any slight curl at the edges disappears on its own.
